A Tangier to Tetouan transfer is the shortest of our intercity routes and the one people most often underestimate. Sixty-five kilometres, most of it motorway along the Mediterranean, and under an hour door to door.
Tetouan deserves more attention than it gets. Its medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, whiter and more Andalusian than anything in Tangier, rebuilt from the fifteenth century by families expelled from Granada — and it sees a fraction of Chefchaouen’s visitors. A Tangier to Tetouan transfer puts you at the gate in fifty minutes.

Every Tangier to Tetouan transfer is private, in an air-conditioned vehicle with a licensed driver who speaks English, Spanish, French and Arabic. Motorway tolls, fuel, parking and insurance sit inside the quoted figure, and child seats are free on request.
The route runs east past Ksar Sghir and the Tanger Med interchange, turns inland briefly, then drops into the Martil valley with the Rif rising on one side and the sea on the other. It is genuinely scenic in the second half, which is not something you can say about most fifty-minute drives. Seasonal warning: in July and August a Tangier to Tetouan transfer can stretch to ninety minutes, so we leave earlier and tell you why.
A Tangier to Martil transfer is our busiest summer booking, and not because of the medina. Martil sits fifteen minutes beyond Tetouan with a long town beach, a promenade and a line of seafood restaurants along the front.
Between June and September we run the Tangier to Martil transfer constantly for families heading to the coast. M’diq is another five minutes on — a working fishing port with a quieter beach — and both stay open all year, which is worth knowing if you prefer the coast without the crowds.
A Cabo Negro transfer takes about seventy minutes from Tangier and serves the resort end of the same coastline: golf, villas, and the hotels around Marina Smir five minutes further north.

If your booking is a Cabo Negro transfer rather than a town drop, tell us the residence or hotel name — the area spreads across several kilometres of coast road and the entrances are not obvious in the dark. Fnideq, the last town before the Ceuta border, is another fifteen minutes along the same road.

Tetouan and the beach towns back to Tangier run at the same rates. For airport or ferry connections, give us the departure time — the coast road is unpredictable in summer and we would rather leave early than apologise afterwards.
A return Tangier to Tetouan transfer booked as a pair costs less than two singles and fixes both ends of the day in advance. Families heading to the coast for a week usually book the outbound leg with luggage space and the return leg lighter, and we adjust the vehicle accordingly rather than sending the same size twice.
For a day visit rather than a stay, the same Tangier to Tetouan transfer can wait for you: four hours in the medina and on the seafront, then back to the city in the early evening. Tell us in the morning and we quote the waiting time before you commit to it.
About fifty minutes on the motorway outside high season, and up to ninety in August.
Its medina is UNESCO-listed and among the best preserved in Morocco, with a strong Andalusian character. It receives far fewer visitors than Fes or Chefchaouen, which is much of the appeal.
Yes, all year. A Tangier to Martil transfer runs in January exactly as it does in August, and the coast is pleasantly empty from October to April.
Yes — Tetouan is directly on that road, and Chefchaouen is another hour and fifteen beyond it.
Send the date, time, hotel or residence name, passenger count and number of large bags. We reply with a fixed price, usually within the hour.
Short as it is, a Tangier to Tetouan transfer is worth booking properly — the coast road in summer punishes anyone improvising. For a guided day instead, see the Tetouan day trip from Tangier or the Chefchaouen and Tetouan day trip. Crossing to Spain from Fnideq, take the Tangier to Ceuta border transfer. The old town is listed by UNESCO, and regional information is published by the Moroccan National Tourist Office.
