Tanger Ville railway station, the terminus of the Al Boraq high-speed line in Tangier
Tangier

Tangier Ville Port & Train Station Transfer

A Tangier port transfer covers the three arrival points that sit inside the city itself: the cruise terminal, the fast ferry from Tarifa, and Tanger Ville rail station where the Al Boraq high-speed line ends. All three deliver you into the middle of Tangier, and all three deliver you into a crowd.

On a day with two ships in port, several thousand people come through the terminal gate within the same hour, and every taxi driver in the city knows the schedule better than the passengers do. A pre-booked Tangier port transfer means you walk past all of it: your driver is beyond the security gate with your name on a sign, and the price was agreed before you docked.

What your Tangier port transfer includes

Every Tangier port transfer is private, in an air-conditioned vehicle with a licensed multilingual driver. We monitor ship, ferry and train arrivals, and there is no charge for delays outside your control — the Strait can close in bad weather and sailings shift without much notice.

Port access fees, parking, fuel and insurance are inside the quoted figure. A Tangier port transfer is priced per vehicle rather than per person, so a family of four pays what a solo traveller pays. The day before you arrive we send you a photograph of the exact meeting point by WhatsApp, which matters more here than anywhere else we operate, because the terminal exit on a busy morning is genuinely chaotic.

Tangier cruise terminal transfer: what to know before you dock

A Tangier cruise terminal transfer begins at the gate, about a hundred metres from the ship. Worth knowing before you buy anything: Tangier Ville terminal sits at the foot of the medina, five minutes on foot from the Grand Socco and ten from the Kasbah. The city itself is genuinely walkable from the quay.

What is not walkable is Cape Spartel, the Caves of Hercules or Chefchaouen, and for those the taxis at the gate quote by the hour. A Tangier cruise terminal transfer is the sensible option when you have a fixed destination; if you want a full day out instead, our day trips are built backwards from your all-aboard time with a real safety margin.

Tanger Ville station transfer and the Al Boraq line

A Tanger Ville station transfer covers the eastern end of the city, about fifteen minutes from the port. The station is the northern terminus of Al Boraq, Africa’s first high-speed rail line, which reaches Rabat in roughly ninety minutes and Casablanca in a little over two hours.

We collect from the station concourse with a name sign and can hold luggage in the vehicle if your train arrives early. For departures, a Tanger Ville station transfer should leave a central hotel forty-five minutes before boarding, and an hour in the evening — Al Boraq closes boarding promptly and the station is at the far end of the city.

Return journey and departure timing

A Tangier port transfer runs in reverse at the same rate, and for departures the timing matters far more than the price. Cruise all-aboard times are fixed, the Tarifa ferry closes boarding thirty minutes before sailing, and Al Boraq stops boarding promptly at the platform gate.

Give us the departure time rather than the hour you would like to leave, and we work backwards from it with a genuine margin. That margin is not padding — the port road is unpredictable on days when two ships are in, and a Tangier port transfer that leaves fifteen minutes early has never cost anyone anything.

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly will the driver meet me?

Just outside the terminal building past the security gate, holding a sign with your name. We send a photograph of the spot the day before so there is no ambiguity in a crowd.

What is the difference between Tangier Ville and Tanger Med?

Tangier Ville is the passenger port in the city centre, used by cruise ships and the Tarifa fast ferry. Tanger Med is a commercial port forty-five kilometres east, used by ferries from Algeciras and by freight. They are three quarters of an hour apart, so check your ticket.

Can we leave luggage in the vehicle during a shore excursion?

Yes, if the same vehicle stays with you for the day. On a straight Tangier cruise terminal transfer the vehicle leaves after drop-off.

Do you collect from Al Boraq arrivals?

Yes. A Tanger Ville station transfer is timed to your train, and we hold luggage if you arrive ahead of schedule.

How do I book a Tangier port transfer?

Send us the ship name or ferry operator, the arrival date and time, your destination, the passenger count and the number of large bags. We reply with a fixed price, usually within the hour.

Booked properly, a Tangier port transfer turns the most stressful twenty minutes of the day into the easiest. Arriving from Algeciras instead? Use the Tanger Med port transfer. Flying in, see the Tangier airport transfer, and to continue south by road take the Tangier to Rabat transfer. Al Boraq timetables are published by ONCF, and general travel guidance by the Moroccan National Tourist Office.
